Digital Design Intern
Job Description: Artifact Agency is seeking a highly motivated and talented Digital Design Intern to join our team. This position will provide valuable hands-on experience in the fields of UX/UI, digital branding, and website development. As a Digital Design Intern, you will play an integral role in creating captivating Instagram posts for Artifact, assisting in the production of web design files, managing content entry in WordPress, and contributing to the development of presentation decks.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the creative team to design eye-catching and engaging Instagram posts that align with Artifact's brand and messaging.
Assist in the production of web design files, including building out responsive designs that optimize user experience across various devices and screen sizes.
Manage content entry in WordPress, ensuring accurate and timely updates to the agency's website.
Contribute to the creation of presentation decks for client pitches and internal projects.
Communicate progress, challenges, and ideas effectively with the team through written and verbal communication.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
Familiarity with Figma is a plus, and a willingness to learn and use the tool effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and collaborate with team members.
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Basic understanding of web design principles, user experience, and digital branding.
Details:
Compensation: $15 per hour, paid on a contract/freelance basis.
Hours: Approximately 8 hours per week for 12 weeks for Fall term 2023.
Compliance: The intern's schedule will comply with any school requirements for internship programs.
Typical Day:
Start the day by checking in with the hiring manager (you) on Slack to discuss the day's priorities and tasks.
Collaborate with the team to understand the week's needs and project requirements.
Engage in a 1:1 meeting for personal growth and development, where feedback and guidance will be provided to help the intern's skill development.
Work independently using Adobe Creative Suite or Figma for design-related tasks and projects.
At the end of the day, review the work accomplished with the team to ensure alignment with project goals and brand guidelines.
